Basingstoke & District Disability Forum

Looking for a family friendly new walk to try? Enjoy community events? Like supporting local charities? If yes to any of these questions, then please read on!

To raise community spirit and much needed funds, Basingstoke & District Disability Forum (BDDF) are proud to share details of the first (hopefully annual) Chineham and Sherfield Park Scarecrow Trail.

Over 70 businesses and families will display characters or scenes from their favourite books via a scarecrow in their front gardens.

We invite you to walk our 2 trails any time between 9am and 6pm on the 25th/26th of July.

There will be one guided walk available for anyone who would like extra support including those with visual impairments. Just message me for info!

Trophies, kindly sponsored by Loddon Properties, will be awarded to a number of categories including Best In Show. All voted for by you.

Trail walkers can win too... Via the raffle with amazing prizes all donated by local businesses and individuals (thank you!).

Over the past few months there has been little scope for charities to raise funds. Which are vital to continue their work - often supporting the most vulnerable members of our society. Our partner charity for 2020 is the incredible children’s charity Sebastian Action Trust.

Please join our Facebook event to see further updates and where to purchase trail maps. These will be for a suggested donation of £3 with all funds to the charities.

Thank you for supporting us - we can’t wait to see the displays.
