Basingstoke – Old Basing u3a Update

From Art and Crafts, Science and Bridge, Gardening to History, many of our groups are managing to meet over the summer and have fun together safely. We’ve even begun new activities - walking football, rounders and walking netball - all continuing successfully, as has a new Philosophy Group.

As well as this, our u3a gives all members the chance to come together each month. During the lockdown months we’ve been entertained by some excellent on-line speakers.

We took advantage of some August weather to meet face to face instead and enjoyed two picnics. We could see our members were keen to catch up with old friends and make new ones, while sharing the activities they do. Everyone is looking forward to meeting regularly indoors again, as soon as we can. Updates are regularly posted on our website. - www.basingstokeu3a.org

Our Meet & Greet Day – 8 September 2-4pm, Queen Mary’s Hall, Queen Mary’s College, Cliddesden Road RG21 3HF: No longer in full-time work? Looking for Fun? Still wanting to learn new interests or regain old?

Please make a note of our Meet and Greet Day. We always welcome new members, so this day is planned when you can come and find out about all the activities we run, meet people with the same interests as you, and start to make new friends. You can join as many groups as you’d like for just one annual fee!
