Basingstoke Rotary Club Update

The Place to be Proud of Award for Health and Wellbeing goes to – Basingstoke Covid-19 Vaccination Centre Teams

It has been a privilege for Rotary in North Hampshire to play a part in the vaccine programme at The Hampshire Court Hotel and latterly at Jameson House. Our carparking role began in December and involved six Rotary clubs cooperating together in rain, snow and glorious sunshine to facilitate patients' access to vaccination. We’ve appreciated being able to work with our colleagues, health professionals and other volunteers in this whole team effort at this time of national importance and to have played our part in the UK’s successful vaccination programme in our battle against Covid 19

One of the things Rotarians rarely admit to is the selfish side of volunteering and that is that we always come away feeling that we have made a difference. It’s a very uplifting feeling and we know it has helped our general wellbeing and mental health in recent times. If you haven’t experienced that feeling, then come and volunteer with us at any of the events below. There’ll be a welcome for you.
