Chineham and Old Basing NWR

Currently I am enjoying reading our quarterly magazine which just dropped on the mat, full of news, views, ideas and information all included in the £25 membership fee. Also included, our fantastic National Group continues to provide some fascinating talks, for example Jasinder Sanghera talking about her book, Shame which has now been added to the list for our Reading Group. For members who miss a talk they are available on the web site together with a wealth of other information. We also receive a bi-monthly email offering quizzes, crosswords and other activities and every week we can zoom into discussions with members from other groups up and down the country if a particular topic peaks our interest. Locally, our group continues to meet via zoom on the first Monday of each month at 2pm and this month we had an additional meeting with a fascinating talk about the work of the Air Ambulance. To maintain links we also zoom on every 3rd Monday as a substitute for our coffee mornings/lunch clubs which are currently on hold but hopefully will resume very soon. We have been so grateful to NWR for all the activities and support it has provided throughout the last year so if you would like to take advantage of all our organisation offers do come along. You are welcome to sit in on any meetings with no obligation to join or even speak if you would prefer to observe and you can be sure of a warm welcome. For more information about this nationwide organisation do look at the website: nwr.org.uk or contact our Local Organiser: Karen Dann Tel: 01256 328488 email: karen.dann@gmail.com Diane Hope
