Citizens Advice Basingstoke: Mental Wellbeing


Your mental wellbeing is about your thoughts and feelings and how you cope with the ups and downs of everyday life. The NHS and Mind have useful websites suggesting areas of life where simple changes can make a big difference to your mental wellbeing. The current situation with the Coronavirus pandemic is resulting in many people feeling worried, anxious, and helpless. The causes of this stress are varied. People's mental wellbeing and mental health problems can be made worse by practical issues such as losing a job, facing eviction, or having to choose between feeding the family or staying warm. Help with these issues, alongside treatment, stops mental health problems from getting worse.

At Citizens Advice Basingstoke, we can offer you help and support to address those practical issues and take action to control the situation. We regularly help clients with a whole range of problems including benefits, tax credits debt, employment, relationships, family, legal, consumer goods and services, discrimination, financial services, health and community care, immigration and asylum.
