Cufaude Lane roadworks
HCC will be undertaking ecological mitigation works on Cufaude Lane, Bramley, from just south of the entrance to Cufaude Manor, for a length of approximately 500 metres to the south.
This is to enable tunnels to be built under the carriageway to protect the annual toad migration and follows the excellent work done over the years by Andrew Cleave and the Hampshire & Isle of Wight amphibian & reptile group to protect these amphibians.
The works are programmed to start on 25th January 2021 (weather permitting) and are expected to last for up to 3 weeks, during which time the road will be closed to vehicular traffic 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be made available providing conditions on site at the time can allow them to pass through safely.
